Shir Zoom Concert

Klezmer, Sephardi and more, on Thursday 15 April at 7.15pm for 7.30pm.

Held online, via Zoom.

We are pleased to welcome back two founder members of Shir, Ivor Goldberg, (guitar and vocals) and Maurice Chernick (clarinet and vocals) who will entertain us in their own inimitable way.

Shir has a huge following within the Jewish community around the country, having played at festivals and events in the UK and Europe, including Klezmer In The Park, The Sephardic International Music Festival, and the Amsterdam Jewish Music Festival.

Enjoy music that would have been familiar to Sir Moses and Lady Judith as well as more up-to-date melodies.

Talk by Rabbi Goldstein

On Wednesday 19th February 2020, Rabbi Dr Andrew Goldstein will be giving a talk on "Following in the footsteps of Moses and Judith Montefiore on their first trip to the Holy land in 1827".

Please note that the Synagogue is not open on Saturdays and Jewish holy days.  3 workings days notice is required for visits and there is a suggested donation of £4 per person payable to the Synagogue maintenance box.
